Rifton Mini Pacer

Niko's physical therapist ordered a demo Rifton Mini Pacer for us to try out.  So far, Niko hardly moves at all in this thing, and so it's hardly anything to get excited over.  But I AM excited.  She looks so cute in a vertical position.  I really hope that she will get the hang of this.  I so wish for her to be able to cruise around and enjoy some mobility.  And I look forward to buying her some new accessories - shoes!  These little shoes are borrowed from her little cousin.  I can't believe this girl doesn't own one pair of shoes yet.

  1. Hello! What a nice photo! Oleg started his adventure with gait trainer when he was around Niko's age. First, he just sat in it and look arround, but was happy to observe world from the vertical position. After few weeks he started moving backwards (it was easier for him) - we were going to places with long, flat floor that Oluś could move without meeting walls all the time ;) When he was about 2 years old, he finally managed to move forward. Now he is very skillfull - can move in every direction. I was totally excited, when he came close to the drawer and took out his cloth for the very firts time :) Now, I am totally excited because few days ago he blew out his candle on the birthday cake and was very interested in book about teletubbies (he loves them)...I am always smiling when looking at Niko's photos, because she is so similar to my son! Of course, he is a boy, with scandinavian-blond hair and blue eyes, but has the same smile, the same sparkle in eyes, exactly (!) the same legs and hands. Like they were close relatives...

  2. Oh this reminds me so much of when Gabrielle trialled the same walker. It was such an exciting day. Niko, you are growing up to be such a beautiful girl. Can't wait to meet you.
